The International Lawn, Garden and Power Equipment Expo (Expo) experienced a growth surge in attendance, enjoying a five per cent increase.

     This increase is attributable, say organizers to the online registration that was available for the first time this year, as well as the new Friday start date. Almost 11,000 visitors registered online at http://expo.mow.org, and were eligible to win Husqvarna suite tickets to NASCAR races.

     Held July 20 to 22 in Louisville, Kentucky, Expo 2001 attracted 22,013 visitors, with an increase in the number of retailer/dealer registrations. Landscape, commercial mowing contractor and general contractor sectors also showed an increase in participation.
