Lots of good information at annual Short Course
Each February, the Landscape Ontario Growers’ Short Course brings together nursery growers to learn more about issues they face. The lineup for the 2008 sheds light on a number of issues.
The short course takes place February 13 at the Royal Botanical Gardens Centre in Hamilton/Burlington. A theme this year is energy conservation and recycling. Other talks include drought tolerant Aquilegia, water and fertility management, spraying BMPs, invasive species and more.
Featured speaker Keith Warren, director of product development for J. Frank Schmidt and Son Company in Boring, Oregon, will present two talks that focus on the latest developments in new trees and “planting for success”. His information will be of interest to all growers.
