In this present period of isolation and uncertainty, I'm sure we are all looking forward to the approaching spring season and experiencing the restorative power of getting back into the garden. The Landscape Ontario Toronto Chapter Bursary Program, now in its fourth year, was initiated to enhance that opportunity for those who may not have private gardens to cultivate, or who want to garden in community. The program distributes $15,000 in amounts up to $1500 to greening projects that contribute to environmental and social wellness.

Please use this link to submit a project for consideration.
Additional information, pictures, etc, can be forwarded to LOTObursary@landscapeontario.com

The March 29, 2020 deadline for applications to the program is fast approaching. We invite all members to put forward candidates for consideration. These grants are not intended to benefit LO members directly; indeed, we urge our members to adopt projects in their operating area and to assist them in any way possible, such as sharing a surplus of materials or offering transportation of bulk quantities.

The Toronto Chapter's Bursary Committee looks forward to reviewing the applications in the first week of April so that the chosen recipients can count on receiving their grants at the beginning of the gardening season.

We look forward to working with you to nurture nature in Toronto!

Yours respectfully,
Jonas Spring
President, Landscape Ontario Toronto Chapter
