The 75th anniversary of the Niagara School of Horticulture has received much press. One of the many articles written over the summer was by Sherman Zavitz, official historian for the City of Niagara Falls. His article  in the Welland Tribune takes readers back to 1936, when the school was founded under the name Niagara Parks Commission Training School for Apprentice Gardeners.
