Communities in Bloom announces 2017 winners

On Sept. 16, the 23rd edition of the Communities in Bloom National and International Awards Ceremonies were held in Ottawa-Gatineau, National Capital Region, honouring municipalities across Canada, the United States, Northern Ireland, Belgium, Ireland, Croatia and Italy.

The 2017 Communities in Bloom National Symposium on parks and grounds and national and international awards ceremonies will celebrate Canada 150 Sept. 13-16 in Ottawa and Gatineau.

CN expands tree planting program

Communities in Bloom, Tree Canada and CN EcoConnxions recently announced 50 communities across Canada will be awarded grants of $25,000 to fund local tree planting projects in honour of the nation’s 150th anniversary.
Congratulations to the KDSS Recycled Garden, winner of the first CiB Green for Life Award of Excellence, sponsored by Landscape Ontario.
