Funding Opportunity: Green Jobs Initiative 2019
Parks and Recreation Ontario is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the Green Jobs Initiative in the Fall of 2019. This program will provide direct financial support (via wage subsidies) to municipalities, Indigenous communities, and other sector organizations for new, "green job" employment opportunities for youth. Applications must focus on the development of new green jobs for youth.

Employers can apply online for a wage subsidy of up to 50% or $5,712.00 for each position. This amount is inclusive of both salary and mandatory employment related costs (MERCs). Only one application per organization is allowed, however each application may include requests for multiple green jobs. The CPRA reserves the right to fund fewer jobs than the number requested based on budget constraints.
