November 22
Paradise Found Lecture, Virginia, Vita and Sissinghurst
7:30 p.m., John Bassett Theatre, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building
Presented by Landscape Ontario Horticultural Trades Association, Toronto Chapter, for the benefit of the Toronto Botanical Garden. The Paradise Found Lectures offer a unique approach to photo-documentary that elevates the word lecture to an experiential level.
Art, culture, biography, history, literature and politics interweave to create a rich backdrop upon which the stories of great gardens and their creators are told. Co-producers and presenters Joanie Flynt, horticulturist, and Karen Molson, biographer and historian present a live photo-documentary lecture on the writer Virginia Woolf, the poet Vita Sackville-West, and the making of England’s most visited gardens, Sissinghurst, in Kent.
Tickets are $35.
