LC067: Working with Natural Stone

As a natural material, stone varies widely, and a range of methods and tools can be used to achieve a similarly wide range of purposes. This seminar will focus on basic techniques of working natural stone with a hammer and chisel, as well as the basic principles of building structurally with natural stone; both dry laid and mortared.

Participants will together work on a small hands-on project during this two day seminar.

Participants are required to bring the appropriate PPE to participate

Tools needed to participate:
Two and four-foot level, hammer for hitting steel chisels, one chisel meant for stone, trowel, hand brush, and a one-foot square

For those who know the basics, this seminar will further develop your product knowledge and installation skills
