Adrian ‘Art’ Vander Kruk was called home on Oct. 1, 2026 at the age of 86.
He deeply enjoyed his work as the founder of AVK Nursery, both the growing and innovating, and the business relationships developed over many years; customers quickly became friends to him.
Art was a true leader in the industry, recognized for his self-taught expertise and his down-to-earth, “Golden Rule” business mentality. He enjoyed hobbies, working with horses, playing the organ and listening to music. His family was of utmost importance and Art was deeply committed to Dorothy, their children and grandchildren.
Art served the Lord faithfully and will be missed by his church family at Calvin CRC. We his family take comfort in knowing he is now at rest in the arms of his Saviour.
