Good morning, We are reaching out to you on behalf of Landscape Ontario to provide an update for the Water Smart Irrigation Professional (WSIP) certification program. Due to the restrictions related to COVID-19 the WSIP program was unable to run in 2020. We want to let you all know that the WSIP program intends to run this year through a virtual delivery from March 29th – April 1st 2021. We intend to run the training over four morning sessions from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm. The exam and practical validation is usually held within two weeks of the in class instruction and the format of this is to be determined. We will be deciding shortly whether we are able to run the exam and validation in person under COVID-19 protocols or if the exam will also be delivered through a virtual proctoring service. The funding for the WSIP program through Peel and York Region came to an end in December 2020. This means going forward Landscape Ontario will be offering the training at a cost recovery price for participants without the municipal incentives previously offered. The WSIP program is now available to irrigation professionals across Ontario. We are pleased to let you know the registration for the 2021 training is now open. Please see the registration below. |
