As I reflect on the past few months, I am filled with gratitude for the incredible opportunities I’ve had to immerse myself in the world of Landscape Ontario and the inspiring individuals who make this industry so vibrant.

One of the most rewarding experiences has been touring the facilities of our LO member companies. Seeing firsthand the craftsmanship, innovation and dedication that goes into every project has deepened my appreciation for what we do. More than that, it has reinforced what being part of Landscape Ontario truly means — this is a community committed to excellence and growth.

I also had the privilege of spending time with some up-and-comers at a recent event. Wow, what an impact! Their curiosity, engagement and drive are nothing short of inspiring. Watch out, because they are coming to make their mark and I couldn’t be more excited for the future they are shaping.

In addition, I’ve reconnected with some of the legends of our industry — those who helped build the foundation of Landscape Ontario. Their passion and fire remain as strong as ever. It’s a reminder that even the most established leaders still carry that drive for excellence and for pushing our profession forward.

In this industry, your unique approach is truly appreciated. Thank you for not just following the crowd, but for being innovative and carving your own path. Your willingness to choose a different direction inspires us all. And remember, if you’re ever uncertain, keep planting those seeds — your efforts are bound to yield great results. I’m grateful for the vibrant energy and creativity you bring to our community.

Let me also acknowledge and appreciate that this profession isn’t without its challenges. The sweat, the lessons learned from experience and the perseverance through difficult times make it all worthwhile. The work we do and the relationships we build shape us in profound ways.

I encourage all of us to continue sharing our knowledge and learning from each other. Together, we are stronger, more innovative and better equipped to face whatever comes next.
